Information about the Caney Fork Watershed Recreational Maps Update - 12/19/17: I have added KML and GPX files that can be downloaded. The KML files with with Google Earth, a free map viewing program. And the GPX files work with EasyGPS, a free GPS interface program. And I also changed the default view to hybrid map/satelite.The information compiled here has been provided through several mediums. Data was collected first hand, through Google Maps, through the CFWA, and through the use of the Tennessee Landforms web page. All data given should be examined and used thoughtfully. Some of the waterfalls listed may be on private property, we don't encourage trespassing. Two things to note about "Directions to": 1) It will only bring you as close as the nearest listed road to the feature. This doesn't always get you there. 2) Until I develop a more elegant fix, you actually have to click "Go" for the function to work. These maps are works in progress; new points will be added, old ones updated, and bugs fixed. In the meantime, go out and adventure! -Chuck (ChuckSutherland.com) |
